A brief introduction
Christopher Malcolm is an award-winning fitness, lifestyle and activewear photographer and director based in Los Angeles, California. Some of his commercial clients include Nike, Lululemon, and ASICS. His work has also appeared in publications such as Runners World, Men's Journal, and Bicycling. He has won awards from a number of prestigious institutions including PDN, APA, American Photography, IPA, and The Lucie Awards. When not doing commercial work, Christopher is constantly creating personal work including those shot since the pandemic such as his The Distance Between Us project and Quarantine Stories. He also created the award winning Live Your Love dance project in conjunction with the LA Contemporary Dance Company.
In addition to his own work, Christopher looks to serve the photographic community by writing a weekly column for Fstoppers.com. Additionally, he serves on the board of APA Los Angeles as well as sitting on the APA Diversity Committee to help increase representation of marginalized groups within the photo community. On top of all this, he is also an accomplished screenwriter and narrative director. In fact, it is his love for storytelling which informs all of his imagery, moving or still.
